Overview

Continuum of Care (CoC) Program

Purpose: The CoC Program is designed to promote community-wide commitment to ending homelessness through:

  • Funding for nonprofit providers and State and local governments

  • Quick rehousing of homeless individuals and families while minimizing trauma and dislocation

  • Promoting access to and effective utilization of mainstream programs by homeless individuals and families

  • Optimizing self-sufficiency among individuals and families experiencing homelessness

    Important Updates (as of April 2026)

    HUD has temporarily reinstated the FY 2024-2025 NOFO. CAFTH is currently reviewing guidance and awaiting additional clarification from HUD. A final decision from related litigation regarding the FY2025 NOFO was expected toward the end of February 2026.
