Program Overview:
Farmers Electric Cooperative offers 10 scholarships of $1,000 each to active members or member spouses who are pursuing additional education. This scholarship supports various educational pathways including:
- Electric lineman's school
- Welding
- Electrical work
- Automotive
- Other trades at accredited institutions
Eligible Uses:
Scholarship funds are sent directly to the institution for payment of:
- Active Farmers EC member or member spouse who resides on the system
- Accepted into college, trade school, or other post-secondary program
- Registered for a minimum of 9 hours
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
Eligibility Requirements
- Letter of application detailing educational and career goals
- Official transcript for GPA accuracy
- Proof of acceptance and enrollment status
