Conservation and Environment Fund Grants

The Conservation and Environment Fund Grants provide annual funding for the preservation of ranchland and open spaces in North Texas. These grants support projects aimed at conserving native species and habitats, as well as educational programs on the importance of land protection. Eligible organizations can receive up to $25,000 for conservation projects and $7,500 for educational initiatives, fostering environmental stewardship in multiple counties.

Focus
Agencies that promote conservation and environmental stewardship, and the preservation of open space in North Texas.
Projects that directly contribute to the conservation of native Texas species and habitats (e.g. urban green spaces, parks, community gardens, landscaped medians and parkways, prairie restoration, etc.)Programs providing education regarding the importance of protection of the land and natural resources.Preservation of North Texas area land utilized for agricultural purposes, wildlife, or botanical resources.Organizations that help build on existing conservation efforts while strengthening the whole operation.Grants for educational programming will be awarded up to $7,500 per organization.Grants for conservation & environment projects will be awarded up to $25,000 per organization

Eligibility

Funding is available for agencies, as well as land trusts, engaged in land conservation and/or education efforts in the following counties: Tarrant, Parker, Johnson, Young, Jack, Denton, Wise, Hood, Somervell, Bosque, and Hill.To be considered for a grant, applicants must be nonprofit, tax-exempt organizations (under section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code).
