Provides financial assistance to organizations aiding in the care of abused, injured, and abandoned animals, with emphasis on emergency rescue initiatives.

Geographic Scope: Tarrant and Johnson Counties, North Texas

Focus Areas:

Care of abused, injured, and abandoned animals

Emphasis on dogs, cats, and horses

Spay/neuter programs

Veterinary care and services

Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) feral cat programs

Emergency rescue initiatives

Animal welfare facilities and operations

Grant Activity:

2021 awards: $91,360 to 17 animal welfare programs

Additional funding reserved for emergency rescue initiatives in Johnson and Tarrant Counties

Example recipients include: Allie's Haven Animal Rescue, Humane Society of North Texas, Panther City Feral Cat Coalition, Friends of Arlington Animal Services, Apollo Support & Rescue, Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society, Remember Me Rescue, Texas Coalition for Animal Protection
