Community Reinvestment Plan (CRP) Small Business Grant

Geographic Scope: South Central Washington (Kittitas, Klickitat, Skamania, and Yakima counties)

Focus Areas:

• Supporting eligible entrepreneurs and small business owners
• Starting or expanding businesses that contribute to economic vitality and job creation
• Businesses rooted in and serving historically impacted communities

Eligibility:

• Entrepreneurs and small business owners within the service area
• Businesses serving communities disproportionately impacted by War on Drugs policies
• Businesses targeting Black, Latine, Tribal, Asian, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, and low-income communities

Purpose:
These grant funds are intended to reduce barriers to entrepreneurship and support community-driven economic development by providing financial resources. The Washington State Department of Commerce is working to reinvest funds into communities disproportionately impacted by policies tied to the War on Drugs, which created disparities in housing stability, employment access, educational opportunity, and economic mobility.
