Community Land Trust Technical Assistance Grant

Geographic Scope: City of San Antonio, Texas

Focus Area:

• Facilitate establishment of Community Land Trusts (CLTs)
• Provide technical assistance for CLT development and operations

Purpose:

• Support development of community land trusts to preserve affordable housing
• Provide capacity-building services for CLT organizations

Eligibility:

• Organizations capable of providing technical assistance services
• Must demonstrate expertise in community land trust development

Background:
As demonstrated by the Esperanza Community Land Trust example, SAHTF supports CLTs as an innovative model to:

• Permanently preserve low-income housing
• Prevent neighborhood displacement
• Maintain long-term affordability
• Serve families at or below 30% AMI

Application Process

Submission Method:

• Submit proposals through formal Request for Proposals (RFP) process
• RFP released December 1, 2022
• Contact SAHTF for current RFP and submission procedures

Required Elements:

• Demonstrate capacity to provide technical assistance for CLT establishment
• Show understanding of CLT models and operations
• Detail plan for supporting CLT development
• Include qualifications and relevant experience
