Community Investment Funds

Overview: The Community Investment Funds are the signature grant cycle managed by the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia in which funds are invested in organizations serving the Northern Virginia community.

Geographic Scope: Northern Virginia

Focus Areas:

  • Child and youth development

  • Disabilities

  • Education

  • Latino engagement and achievement

  • Mental health

  • Aging

  • Military personnel and their families

  • Safety net support

  • Arts (through Ross-Roberts Fund for the Arts)

  • Environment (through Environment Fund)
  • Application Details: Organizations may apply to multiple grant cycles during the year. However, only one application in one focus area is accepted in the Community Investment Funds, Arts and Environment Fund cycle.
