Community Grants Program

Funder: Emeril Lagasse Foundation

Geographic Scope: Greater New Orleans, Austin, Greater Ft. Lauderdale, the Gulf South, Greater Houston, Southern California, Las Vegas, Napa/Sonoma, Orlando, and Washington D.C.

Mission: Provides capital and programmatic support to eligible non-profit organizations delivering culinary, nutrition, and arts education with a focus on life skills development and basic needs.

  • Life skills development

  • Basic needs (food access, health care)
  • Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be a 501(c)(3) organization

  • Must deliver culinary, nutrition, and/or arts education with focus on life skills development

  • Must be located in communities where ELF Board of Directors and Advisory Committee live and work

  • Organizations must not discriminate by race, religion, sex, age or national origins
  • Preference: Given to organizations working toward the foundation's vision of "More Kids Working Toward their Full Potential"

    Application Process:
    1. The Emeril Lagasse Foundation accepts grants by invitation only
    2. However, organizations can submit a concept paper if they believe their organization matches the program
    3. Send concept paper to [email protected]

    Concept Paper Requirements:

  • Maximum 3 pages

  • Must include:

  • - Your Name
    - Email Address
    - Name of organization
    - Geographic location your organization serves
    - Organization background (mission and history)
    - Project summary (200 words)
    - Statement of need
    - Financial ask
