Background: Since its inception in 1948, the Sandia Foundation has granted more than $49 million to Dickinson College, $49 million to the University of New Mexico, and $11 million to support the work of many Albuquerque nonprofits.

The Sandia Foundation concentrates efforts on partnering with Albuquerque nonprofits that work with children in the community with regard to:

• Education advancement through long-term, consistent intervention and support
