Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore: General Letter of Inquiry Grant

We are a 501c3 nonprofit with an inspiring history of fostering charitable endeavors, and have provided more than $107 million in grants and scholarships to the local community since 1984. We collaborate with individuals, families, and businesses to match their charitable interests with community needs and strengthen local nonprofits through grants and resources.
Following submission of the Letter of Inquiry: All requests submitted by the 15th of the month will receive a decision the following month.

Eligibility

You must serve residents of Wicomico, Worcester, and/or Somerset Counties in Maryland Be an IRS designated 501c3 Nonprofit, a governmental unit with a charitable program, a public or private school, or a religious organization with a non-sectarian program.

Ineligibility

We cannot make grants to individuals.Unincorporated charitable organizations must apply through a qualified fiscal sponsor.Our grant programs generally do not fund:Athletic Facility Infrastructure
Fundraising Campaigns
Nonprofit Start Up Fees (e.g. 501c3 Articles of Incorporation or Form 1023 Filing Fees)
Sectarian Religious Programs
Operational funds for government agencies or places of worshipGovernment agencies and places of worship may request programmatic funding for programs serving the community (not limited to congregation members).
