Background: Partnership between West Slope Colorado Oil & Gas Association and Colorado Mesa University Foundation to recognize Colorado's most outstanding energy students.

    Eligibility Requirements

  • School: Colorado Mesa University students only
  • Academic: Current high school or college student pursuing energy-related degree
  • Degree Fields: Landman/energy management, mechanical engineering, environmental science, geology, machining, welding, or process systems technology
  • GPA: Must maintain 3.0 GPA
  • Location: Students from Western Slope of Colorado (for main WSCOGA scholarship)

Application Process

2. Students will be automatically matched to all scholarships in the Colorado Energy Scholar Award Series based on application
3. Submit online or by email

  • City, state, zip code
  • High school GPA
  • Current college GPA (if already attending college)
  • Proposed major/degree field
  • Name and address of school student will attend
  • Student ID number
  • Copy of current high school or college transcript (upload required)

Essay Questions

1. How do you see yourself playing a role in the energy industry to advance the higher quality of life in Colorado or in the United States? 2. Reflect on something that someone has done for you that has made you happy or thankful in a surprising way. How has this gratitude affected or motivated you?
