Coastal Bend Women Lawyers Association Scholarship Grant

The Coastal Bend Women Lawyers Association Scholarship, established in 2017, aims to empower female students in the Coastal Bend region. Funded by the Coastal Bend Community Foundation, this scholarship supports those enrolled in local colleges who demonstrate financial need and a commitment to community service. Eligible candidates must maintain a GPA of at least 3.0, ensuring that the scholarship fosters both academic excellence and civic engagement.

The Mission of the Foundation is to improve the quality of life in the Coastal Bend by building community endowment and addressing social, educational, environmental, and cultural needs through the awarding of grants and scholarships.
The Foundation’s Vision is to provide the Coastal Bend with:
Efficient gift options to meet donors’ charitable wishesEffective grants to charitable organizations and scholarships to studentsEthical leadership to promote and enhance area philanthropy
Established in 2017 by the Coastal Bend Women Lawyers Association.

Eligibility

Be female or someone that identifies as femaleBe currently enrolled either as a part-time or full-time student at Del Mar Community College, Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi, Texas A&M University- Kingsville, Coastal Bend College, or UIW;Have a minimum GPA of a 3.0;Demonstrate financial need; andDemonstrate a history of community service, extracurricular activities or work experience.
