Clinical Impact in Geriatrics Award

Purpose: Seeks to recognize one APTA Geriatric Member for outstanding clinical practice in a geriatric health care setting.

Award Focus: Recipients are recognized as advocates, role models, innovators, and leaders in geriatric care settings who demonstrate commitment to improving the lives of aging adults.

Eligibility Requirements

• Current Membership: Must be a current member of APTA Geriatrics
• Advocacy & Role Modeling: Must be an advocate for aging adults and a role model for excellence in physical therapy practice
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years involved in geriatric clinical practice settings
• Demonstrated Excellence: Must demonstrate innovation and leadership in:

- Program planning or management
- Clinical education
- Outstanding quality of care
- Multidisciplinary teamwork
- Meeting the physical therapy needs of aging adults
