Academic Geriatrics Award

Purpose: Seeks to recognize one APTA Geriatrics Member for excellence in an academic setting.
Award Focus: Recognizes individuals who excel in presenting content on geriatrics in an engaging and dynamic manner, and who innovatively educate future geriatric physical therapists.
Eligibility Requirements
- Current Membership: Must be a current member of APTA Geriatrics
- Academic Excellence: Must have distinguished themself through excellence in academic education in geriatric physical therapy
- Subject Matter Expertise: Must have distinguished themself in a subject matter as evidenced by: - Publications - Other appropriate demonstrations
- Educational Innovation: Must have extended geriatric physical therapy education by the development of: - Innovative teaching methods - Innovative teaching materials

- Describe how the nominee meets the criteria
2. Student/Colleague Letters
- One letter from a former student (required)
- No more than three letters from additional students and/or colleagues
- Letters should describe how the nominee has demonstrated the criteria

- Copy of nominee's current resume or curriculum vitae
