Background
In fall 1972, Meade High School's football team achieved an undefeated season and state championship. However, in mid-October, teammate Chris Little suffered a head injury during a game and died as a result. Chris was a gifted athlete in all sports, a gifted musician, and excelled in academics. His parents, James and Nadine Little, along with school administrators, created this memorial award to honor Chris's life.- Two seniors annually - one female and one male student
