Organization: Denver Children's Foundation (DCF), formerly Denver Active 20-30

Background: For more than three decades, DCF has been changing the trajectories of children in Colorado through financial grants to organizations that directly support at-risk, disadvantaged children in the community.

Geographic Scope: Colorado, with focus on Denver and surrounding areas

Funding Strategy: DCF supports organizations that have the greatest impact on four key areas of a child's life:

    Education

  • Support organizations that help students prepare for each step in their educational journey and find gainful employment

    Health & Wellbeing

  • Support organizations that eliminate socioeconomic barriers to quality healthcare and promote healthy, balanced lifestyles

    Child Advocacy

  • Support organizations that provide safe havens for children in crisis, guidance, and long-term advocacy

  • - Separation from harmful/threatening situations - Immediate safety and security - Successful case-management - Long-term advocacy

    Personal Enrichment

  • Support organizations providing mentorship, adventure, and team-building experiences that broaden children's horizons
  • Desired Outcomes:
  • - Individual confidence building - Increased self-esteem - High-quality team-building experiences - Sense of adventure and accomplishment

Eligibility: Organizations must directly support at-risk, disadvantaged children

What DCF Does NOT Fund:

  • Legislative advocacy

  • Regranting

  • Scholarships

  • General operating support

  • Capital funding
  • Application Requirements: A Letter of Interest (LOI) is REQUIRED before organizations can be approved to submit a full grant application
