Chad and Marc Miyamoto Memorial Scholarship Fund Grant

The Chad and Marc Miyamoto Memorial Scholarship Fund, administered by the Hawai'i Community Foundation, provides financial support to qualified students in Hawaii. Applicants must demonstrate financial need, maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0, and preferably major in Education with a GPA of 3.3 or higher. Community service or athletic participation is also valued. Recipients from the previous year are given preference if they continue to meet eligibility criteria.

NOTE: The Application deadline is represented by the Pre proposal deadline. The Letters of Recommendation deadline is represented by the Full Proposal deadline.

The Hawai‘i Community Foundation is honored to provide a wealth of financial support to qualified students and nonprofit organizations throughout Hawai‘i.
HCF invests charitable funds in communities across the State primarily through nonprofit organizations. We administer a number of grant making programs with targeted purposes or an island-based focus. We create grant programs that deliver solid results efficiently while informing our impact work and knowledge assets.
HCF also assists several private foundations in delivering their grant making programs according to their specific strategies. Each competitive grant programs has its own funding priorities and proposal requirements.

Eligibility

Standard minimum criteria that will be used to select scholarship recipients:

• Be a resident of the State of Hawaii
• Demonstrate financial need
• Be in good academic standing by maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0
• Additionally, the Donor prefers the following criteria to be used to select scholarship recipients:
• Majoring in Education
• Minimum GPA of 3.3
• Participated in community service or an athletic program
• Born in Hawai'i
