Central Texas Home Visiting Grant Program
Subtitle: A Good Start is a Healthy Start
Geographic Scope: Central Texas (Bastrop, Caldwell, Hays, Travis, Williamson counties)
Overview: This RFP expands home visiting capacity as a component of the Foundation's broader strategy to ensure that all Central Texas children get the best possible start in life. Home visiting is a valuable tool influencing three interrelated goals:
Expected Outcomes: Improvements in:
Program Definition: Home visiting programs seek to improve well-being of young children (prenatal to age five) and their families by using the home as the primary mechanism to provide direct support and coordination of services. While services can be received elsewhere, the home is the primary service delivery setting.
