It provides $1000 to eligible applicants, supporting their educational aspirations while promoting inclusiveness and respect for all backgrounds within the brain tumor community.Overview
About The Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation (CBTF) was founded in 1988 by a group of dedicated parents, physicians, and friends to improve the treatment, quality of life, and the long term outlook for children with brain and spinal cord tumors through research, support, education, and advocacy to families and survivors. In addition to providing funds to research a cure, the organization is the nation’s leader in quality of life programs for families impacted by brain and spinal cord tumors. We support families from the day of diagnosis and throughout the brain tumor journey. CBTF believes in the importance of being responsive to the needs of everyone in the brain tumor community regardless of their racial/ethnic background. We believe in the importance of a culture that values people of all racial/ ethnic backgrounds. We value the many identities that an individual brings to the community and honor and appreciate the intersections of these identities. Our practice values respect, integrity and honesty. We are committed to inclusiveness. Carson Bailey Memorial Scholarship Thank you for applying for the Carson Bailey Memorial Survivor Scholarship. This opportunity is given in memory of Carson Bailey by his family and all who loved him. Carson was a hardworking, straight A student and National Junior Honor Society member. He loved Transformers, Disney, cartoons, chicken tenders, french fries and, most importantly, spending time with his sister, cousins and the entire family. Carson’s zest for life could brighten any day, and he touched the lives of everyone around him. Unfortunately, he left this world and all who loved him way too soon. Carson had plans for his future, which included attending college.
