Guided by our vision, purpose, mission, values, and policies, we inspire philanthropic generosity to enhance our community’s quality of life. Scholarships More than 200 students throughout north central Wisconsin, from pre-school to post-graduate, will be awarded scholarships totaling more than $300,000 from the 125 endowed scholarship funds administered within the Community Foundation. Carol Verhasselt Legacy Scholarship Purpose The Carol Verhasselt Legacy Fund annually awards a scholarship to a student of the greater Wausau area (DCE, Newman, Wausau East or Wausau West) who wishes to pursue a post-secondary education in the field of art.
