Carol Verhasselt Legacy Scholarship Grant

The Carol Verhasselt Legacy Scholarship, funded by the Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin, supports graduating high school seniors from the greater Wausau area who are passionate about the arts. Awarded annually, this scholarship encourages students pursuing post-secondary education in art, promoting their academic and personal growth. With over $300,000 in scholarships available, it fosters a commitment to education and community enhancement, ensuring a positive impact on the lives of local students.

Scholarships
More than 200 students throughout north central Wisconsin, from pre-school to post-graduate, will be awarded scholarships totaling more than $300,000 from the 125 endowed scholarship funds administered within the Community Foundation.
Purpose
The Carol Verhasselt Legacy Fund annually awards a scholarship to a student of the greater Wausau area (DCE, Newman, Wausau East or Wausau West) who wishes to pursue a post-secondary education in the field of art.

Eligibility

Graduating high school senior from the greater Wausau area (including DC Everest, Newman Catholic, Wausau East, and Wausau West High Schools)With a driving passion for the arts
Intending to pursue a degree in the arts at an accredited college or university within six months of graduationWith a drive and compassion for life and people
