About Us

The Community Foundation of Dickinson County, Inc. was established in 1999 by a group of civic-minded individuals who cherished their community and wanted to ensure future generations experience the same quality of living they had received in Dickinson County. These visionaries secured the future of the Foundation by establishing an Endowed Founder’s Fund.

Carlton Presbyterian Church Memorial Scholarship - (1) $1,000

The Carlton Presbyterian Church provides this scholarship, which offers support to students pursuing higher education. Applicants must be active members of their church and in their local community. The intent is for all applicants to be considered. Previous recipients may re-apply through the competitive selection process.

Scholarship Overview

This scholarship is for graduating seniors or previous graduates for enrollment in an accredited school of higher education, with preference to those who live in Dickinson County or are a relative of a Dickinson County resident.

* Scholarship Requirements:
* Applicant must have earned at least a cumulative 2.5 GPA.
* Statement /essay of 200 words describing your personal goals and how this scholarship will help facilitate goals. Please include your need for financial aid.
* Applicants must show active participation in their church and the local community.
* The following should be uploaded to complete the application:
* Three letters of recommendation from a non-relative. One should be from your Pastor or Priest.
* Current resume detailing activities and community activities.
* Copy of most current high school academic transcript.
* Current headshot.
