Career and Technical Education (CTE) Scholarships

Overview: The Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation's CTE scholarship program funds students pursuing nondegree certificate programs and vocational training. Approximately 200 scholarships are awarded annually, totaling over $500,000.

Geographic Scope: United States-wide with highest representation in North Carolina, California, and Texas

Career paths include:

- Health sciences (30% of recipients)
- Agriculture, food and natural resources (19% of recipients)
- Architecture and construction
- Business, management and administration
- STEM-related fields including engineering and information technology
- Emergency medical services
- HVAC and refrigeration technology
- Fire and emergency response administration
- Fabrication and welding

Eligibility Requirements:

Must be a child of:

- Active-duty U.S. Marine
- Retired U.S. Marine
- Reserve U.S. Marine
- Veteran U.S. Marine
- Navy Corpsman linked with Marine units
- Parent killed while serving in the Marines

Minimum GPA of 2.0

Attend an accredited school

Demonstrate financial need

Programs must be less than 12 months or certificate training

Award Details:

Approximately $3,500 per academic year

Renewable for up to 4 years (duration of program)

Available year-round application

100% of eligible applicants receive aid

91% graduation rate (compared to 56% nationally)

50% graduate with little to no debt (compared to 30% nationally)
