Overview

Canadian Parliament Internship Program

Purpose: Provides Shepherd students with a unique international experience participating in the workings of a parliamentary form of government in a bilingual environment.

Established: Created in 2007 by Dr. Mark Curley, a native Canadian and friend to Shepherd University.

Location: Ottawa, Canada

Eligibility:

  • Eligible recipients are selected from Shepherd University's Honors Program or political science department

  • Must be a senior or upper-level student
  • Award Details:

  • Provides funding for summer internship experience

  • Internship takes place each summer in Ottawa, Canada

  • Participants work in the Canadian Parliament

  • Includes international travel and living expenses
  • Geographic Scope: Shepherd University students only
