Purpose: Provides academic scholarships to deserving Shepherd University students.
Established: Created through a $500,000 endowed gift from the BrickStreet Foundation to the Shepherd University Foundation.
About BrickStreet:
- BrickStreet Mutual Insurance Company assists West Virginia workers and employers
- Improves medical and compensation benefits for workers injured on the job
- Reduces costs for employers
- Created after the privatization of West Virginia's workers' compensation program
Award Details:
- Provides 10 general academic scholarships each year in perpetuity

Eligibility - Primary Preference:
- Students majoring in math, nursing, or education
- Children or grandchildren of workers who have experienced work-related injuries or death

- BrickStreet will help facilitate selection through a scholarship committee
