Camp Shelanu Financial Aid

Need-based financial aid for Camp Shelanu summer day camp. Camp Shelanu is committed to serving the entire community. Aid is awarded based on demonstrated financial need.

Eligibility:

  • As a general guideline, households earning below the Durham County median household income ($82,916) are likely to qualify for assistance

  • All families encouraged to apply—many who assume they won't qualify actually do

  • If 2024 tax return does not reflect current financial situation (job loss, reduced hours, medical expenses, etc.), applicants can explain in "special circumstances" section
  • What They Fund:

  • Tuition assistance for Camp Shelanu day camp

  • Payment plans available

  • Reduced $20 weekly deposit available if $50 weekly deposit is a financial barrier

  • Special circumstances explanation (if applicable) with relevant documentation
