California Peace Officers' Memorial Foundation Scholarship Program
Purpose: Assist survivors of California peace officers killed in the line of duty by offering educational scholarships to help them reach their educational goals.
Geographic Scope: California
Focus Areas: Educational expenses for survivors of fallen peace officers
Eligibility
Applicants must be:
Award Categories
- Accredited Trade Schools: Up to $5,000 per year
- Accredited Two-Year College: Up to $5,000 per year
- Accredited Four-Year College: Up to $5,000 per year
- Accredited Graduate Programs: Up to $5,000 per year
Eligible Expenses
- Tuition and registration fees
- Books, computers, computer programs, and course incidentals
- Living expenses (room, board, meals, transportation) directly related to attendance
- Other expenses directly related to institution attendance
Important: Funds must be used in the calendar year for which they were approved. Any unused portion must be returned to CPOMF.

How to Apply
Application Process
1. Complete the online application form - Submit electronically during the application period (June 1 - September 1 annually)
2. Provide proof of enrollment - Submit by September 15:
- Student's class schedule
- Must include: student's name, school name, units carried, and term
- Email to: mmendoza@camemorial.org
3. Submit transcripts (if applicable) - Past CPOMF scholarship recipients must provide copies of their most recent transcripts:
- Email to: mmendoza@camemorial.org
- Must be submitted by September 15
4. Sign Acceptance of Terms and Conditions - Recipients must return a signed statement prior to receipt of funds
