Overview: The CERI supports community-based organizations across California that are led by and serve communities facing inequities in COVID-19 infection and impacts. The initiative addresses structural biases in public systems and their disproportionate impact on certain populations.

Background
Structural biases in public systems are particularly apparent in the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on certain populations. These biases undermine our collective ability to improve population health, and addressing them is central to public health's response activities.- Total Funding: $3 million
- Number of Grantees: 10 community-based organizations
- Award Amount: $300,000 per organization over 18 months
