Club 52

Overview: Club 52 is a giving program that supports camps for children with disabilities and serious illnesses, along with international healthcare and educational initiatives. This program evolved from Club 21, which launched in 1997 to support camps for children living with HIV/AIDS. Club 52 was officially launched at the 59th International Convention in Québec City.

History:

  • 30-year tradition of support and service

  • Transitioned to Club 52 in 2025 to reflect increased costs and expanded mission

  • Original $21 donation equivalent to approximately $50 in 2025 terms
  • Funding Focus Areas:

  • Children's camps for those living with disabilities

  • International educational initiatives

  • Support for children facing physical, mental, and emotional disabilities

  • Support for children with cancer and blood disorders

  • How to Participate:

  • Individuals: $1 per week for 52 weeks, or a one-time gift of $52 per fiscal year

  • Clubs and Districts: $252 per fiscal year, uniting Altrusans in collective impact
  • Charter Member Recognition:

  • All donors from July 2025 through May 31, 2026 will be recognized as Charter Members

  • Recognition available at Spring 2026 District Conferences or via website

  • Clubs and Districts contributing $252 or more will receive a Club 52 patch for their banners

  • 274 Altrusans became Charter Members at the International Convention
