Overview

Mayor's Office of LGBTQIA2S+ Advancement We empower, protect, and promote the rights, dignity, and advancement of Boston’s LGBTQIA2S+ residents. The Mayor’s Office of LGBTQIA2S+ Advancement develops policies, community-oriented programming, and provides resources for the City’s diverse LGBTQIA2S+ community. Beyond Pride Grant Fund The Mayor's Office of LGBTQIA2S+ Advancement's Beyond Pride Mini-Grant Fund allows community-based organizations serving the LGBTQIA2S+ community in Boston to apply for up to $15,000 in funds. The Mayor's Office of LGBTQIA2S+ Advancement (MOLA) will award mini-grants to grassroots LGBTQIA2S+ community serving organizations. Funds will assist to implement projects, programs and initiatives that support the LGBTQIA2S+ community. These projects must address real LGBTQIA2S+ community needs and offer long-term benefits that are in alignment with community priorities and needs related to LGBTQIA2S+ advancement work. MOLA wishes to promote the equity, inclusion, and stability of Boston's LGBTQIA2S+ community as well as bolstering social and community supports. MOLA will consider projects and events which help bring us closer to MOLA's vision of Boston being a city for ALL residents and families. Categories Grants will be made to to support programs that expand upon the following focus areas: Housing; Emergency Assistance; Community Building + Community Events (not Pride month focused events); Legal Services and Support; Health + Wellness; LGBTQIA2S+ Artists + Culture Visibility; Civic Engagement; Upward Economic Mobility; and Pride Month Community Events (events occurring in June, Pride Month) .

Registered Non Profit organizations serving Boston’s LGBTQIA2S+ community Community-based organizations that do not have non-profit status must partner with a fiscal sponsor that is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. If you do NOT have a fiscal sponsor, our staff will assist you. Committed to the advancement, empowerment, and inclusion of LGBTQIA2S+ community in the social, economic, civic, and cultural life of BostonDemonstrates an understanding and response to the diverse LGBTQIA2S+ community needs of Boston Demonstrated a history of collaboration, providing a sustainable resources, advocacy work and/or providing direct service.
