Behavioral Health Grant

Geographic Scope: United States with emphasis on:

National programs promoting scalable and sustainable systemic change

Local programs in: California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Missouri, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Texas, and Virginia

Focus Areas:

Increase the number of individuals receiving treatment for mental health (MH) and/or substance use disorders (SUD)

Support prevention and early-intervention strategies

Reduce loneliness among individuals with MH and/or SUD

Grant Program Goals:

Achieve a percent increase in the number of individuals receiving treatment services for MH and/or SUD

Support prevention and early intervention strategies to reduce risks and harms associated with MH and/or SUD through screenings

Reduce feelings of loneliness among individuals with MH and/or SUD

Eligibility:

Qualified nonprofit organizations across the U.S.

Must be exempt from federal income tax under section 501(c)(3)

Must be a public charity described in section 509(a)(1) or (a)(3)

Must not be a section 509(a)(3) type III nonfunctionally integrated organization

Grant Terms:

Generally 1-3 years in duration

Grant ranges are open; funding levels determined based on need and plan presented

Organizations cannot receive overlapping grants from the foundation

Status: Grant applications will be accepted again in 2027
