About Us

The Community Foundation of Dickinson County, Inc. was established in 1999 by a group of civic-minded individuals who cherished their community and wanted to ensure future generations experience the same quality of living they had received in Dickinson County. These visionaries secured the future of the Foundation by establishing an Endowed Founder’s Fund.

Beau Miller Memorial Scholarship for Aviation, Auto Collision and Auto Body Restoration - (1) $500 ($250 per semester)

Bill and Vicky Miller raised their three sons on the family farm in Dickinson County. They have established this scholarship in the loving memory of their oldest son, Beau Miller, known for his auto body restoration talent. His parents wish to extend his legacy of hard work to other young people who seek to specialize in his love of restoring autos and flying.

Scholarship Overview

This scholarship is intended to assist graduating high school seniors or previous graduates from a Dickinson County high school or a GED recipient from Dickinson County who will seek higher education in the trade of Auto Collision Repair, Auto Body Restoration, or the Aviation field.

Eligibility

* Scholarship Requirements:
* Applicants must be graduating seniors or previous graduates or a GED recipient from Dickinson County High School. There is no minimum GPA requirement to apply for this award.
* Applicants must plan to attend a trade or vocational/technical school to obtain a degree or license in Auto Collision Repair, Auto Body Restoration, or a 4-year, trade, or vocational/technical school to pursue a degree in the Aviation field.
* The following should be uploaded to complete the application:
* One letter of recommendation from non-relatives such as teachers, community members, or employers.
* Copy of most recent academic transcript/GED
* A current headshot will be required if selected for the scholarship award.
