AVID: Orange County Centennial Scholarship Fund (Academic Awards) Grant

The AVID: Orange County Centennial Scholarship Fund offers financial assistance between $2,000 and $5,000 to eligible high school seniors in Orange County, CA, who are enrolled in the AVID elective. This scholarship program, administered by Scholarship America, encourages community involvement and leadership among applicants. To qualify, students must demonstrate academic excellence with a minimum GPA of 3.5 and show financial need. This one-time award supports those planning to pursue full-time undergraduate studies at accredited institutions.

AVID Scholarship Programs
Orange County Community Foundation has established a scholarship program to assist high school seniors that are currently enrolled in the AVID elective class and who plan to continue their education in a four-year college or university.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.

Applicants will complete one application for consideration for all the scholarship funds under the AVID Scholarship Programs.

Eligibility

One common application is completed to apply to any of the below funds. Applicants must meet the following criteria and the criteria of one or more of the scholarships listed:Be a student from Orange County, CA, who has participated in the AVID program for at least 3 years (from grades 6-12)Be a current high school senior, and currently enrolled in the AVID elective classPlan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate study at an accredited four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic yearHave a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)Must demonstrate financial need
