AVID: Dad’s House Scholarship Grant

The AVID: Dad's House Scholarship, administered by Scholarship America, supports high school seniors in Orange County who have participated in the AVID program for at least three years. With an estimated award of $3,000 for undergraduate studies, applicants must demonstrate financial need and maintain a GPA of 2.5. The scholarship encourages community commitment and aims to assist those planning to enroll full-time at accredited four-year institutions.

AVID Scholarship Programs
Orange County Community Foundation has established a scholarship program to assist high school seniors that are currently enrolled in the AVID elective class and who plan to continue their education in a four-year college or university.
The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarships and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team.
Scholarship Funds
Applicants will complete one application for consideration for all the scholarship funds under the AVID Scholarship Programs.

Eligibility

One common application is completed to apply to any of the below funds. Applicants must meet the following criteria and the criteria of one or more of the scholarships listed:Be a student from Orange County, CA, who has participated in the AVID program for at least 3 years (from grades 6-12)Be a current high school senior, and currently enrolled in the AVID elective classPlan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate study at an accredited four-year college or university for the entire upcoming academic yearMust demonstrate financial needAwards are renewable until the maximum award amount is distributed, whichever occurs first, on the basis of satisfactory academic performance maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale and full-time enrollment
