NOTE: Starting October 1, 2025, funding decisions for Audrey Hillman Fisher Foundation will be made during two cycles (June and November) each calendar year. While grant applications to the Foundation are accepted throughout the year on a rolling basis, please note the following application submission periods: For the June funding cycle, applications need to be submitted by January 5.For the November funding cycle, applications need to be submitted by July 1. Health and healing for our society and planet The Audrey Hillman Fisher Foundation is committed to caring for our communities through investment in big ideas that advance the arts, education, human services, and the environment. The Foundation has a targeted focus in Pittsburgh, Pa., Santa Barbara, Calif., and a small number of legacy partnerships in Squam Lakes, N.H. Priorities In Pittsburgh, Pa. and Santa Barbara, Calif., the Audrey Hillman Fisher Foundation emphasizes the arts, education, and human services. The Foundation encourages big ideas and projects from new organizations that fit exclusively into these geographic areas. In the Squam Lakes, N.H. area, the Foundation focuses almost exclusively on conservation, environmental education and access through a small number of legacy partners.

Applicant organizations must be classified as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code and as public charities under Section 509(a) of that code.The geographic focus of the Foundation’s grantmaking program is southwestern Pennsylvania, the Squam Lakes Region of New Hampshire, and the Santa Barbara, California area.The Board reserves the right to approve grants in other locations at its discretion.While the Foundation entertains requests from a wide variety of organizations, most grants are initiated at the direction of the program staff and Board of Trustees of the Foundation.
