ASHRAE New Jersey Chapter Scholarship Grant

The ASHRAE New Jersey Chapter Scholarship supports undergraduate students in mechanical or architectural engineering at post-secondary institutions within New Jersey. To qualify, applicants must maintain a GPA of at least 3.0 or rank in the top 30% of their class. Eligible programs include those with a recognized ASHRAE student branch or accredited by ABET or Engineers Canada. This scholarship aims to foster future leaders in HVAC&R by promoting education in sustainable building technologies.

Available to a qualified undergraduate mechanical or architectural engineering students enrolled full-time at a post-secondary educational institute within the geographic boundaries of the New Jersey Chapter or who has graduated from a high school within the New Jersey Chapter geographic boundaries. If there are no eligible applicants under these criteria, the scholarship will be available to a student either attending a school or who has attended a high school within the geographic boundaries of ASHRAE Region I and meets the above criteria.
Scholarships are available to full-time undergraduate engineering or pre-engineering students pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in a course of study that has traditionally been a preparatory curriculum for the HVAC&R profession.

Eligibility

Applicants must have a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0 on a scale where 4.0 is the highest and/or a class standing of no less than the top 30% and meet at least one of the following criteria:The institution hosts a recognized ASHRAE student branch ASHRAE Student Branches orThe program is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)The program is accredited by Engineers Canada or the Canadian Council of Technicians & Technologists (CCTT)
