Region IV Benny Bootle Memorial Scholarship Grant

The Region IV Benny Bootle Memorial Scholarship offers a one-year financial award for undergraduate students in pre-engineering, engineering, or architecture within ASHRAE Region IV (North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia). Candidates must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 and meet specific eligibility criteria, including affiliation with an ASHRAE student branch or an ABET-accredited program. This scholarship aims to support future leaders in the HVAC&R industry, promoting sustainability and innovation in engineering.

A one-year scholarship available annually to a qualified undergraduate pre-engineering, engineering or architecture student attending a post-secondary educational institution within the geographic boundaries of ASHRAE Region IV (North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia) and meets the general criteria listed above.
Scholarships are available to full-time undergraduate engineering or pre-engineering students pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in a course of study that has traditionally been a preparatory curriculum for the HVAC&R profession at a school.

Eligibility

Applicants must have a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0 on a scale where 4.0 is the highest and/or a class standing of no less than the top 30% and meet at least one of the following criteria:The institution hosts a recognized ASHRAE student branch ASHRAE Student Branches orThe program is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)The program is accredited by the Consejo de Acreditacion de la Ensenanza de la Ingenieria (CACEI
