Overview

ASHRAE Houston Chapter RO Hunton Scholarship Available to a qualified undergraduate mechanical engineering student enrolled full-time at a post-secondary educational institution within the geographic boundaries of the Houston Chapter. If there are no eligible applicants under the above criteria, then the scholarship will be available to any full-time undergraduate mechanical engineering student in the geographic boundaries of ASHRAE’s Region VIII and meets the objective criteria.

Eligibility

Scholarships are available to full-time undergraduate engineering or pre-engineering students pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in a course of study that has traditionally been a preparatory curriculum for the HVAC&R profession. Applicants must have a cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0 on a scale where 4.0 is the highest and/or a class standing of no less than the top 30% and meet at least one of the following criteria.   The institution hosts a recognized ASHRAE student branch ASHRAE Student Branches orThe program is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) The program is accredited by Engineers Canada or the Canadian Council of Technicians & Technologists (CCTT) Re-applications accepted from former scholarship applicants and recipients who meet current criteria.
