Compounded Sterile Preparations (CSP) Training Awards Program The ASHP Foundation Compounded Sterile Preparations (CSP) Training Awards Program helps pharmacists with CSP responsibilities participate in educational sessions, networking, and the ASHP Sterile Compounding Designated Person (DP Competency) Training at the ASHP Pharmacy Futures meeting. What is the ASHP Sterile Compounding Designated Persons Training? The ASHP DP Competency Training is a 1 ½ day immersive program taking place at the ASHP Pharmacy Futures meeting to train and assess the competency of individuals assigned by an organization to be responsible and accountable for sterile compounding operations. It includes live didactic and practical sessions on viable sampling plans, restoring cleanroom certification after excursions, and CSP use times from compounding to administration. Pre-requisites or free pre-work will be provided upon registration for the ASHP DP Competency Training and must be completed prior to attending the first session. Award Information Funded through the Lawrence A. Trissel Pharmacy Legacy Fund, this inaugural cycle will award two (2) recipients with: full-meeting registration for the ASHP Pharmacy Futures Meetingregistration for the ASHP DP Competency Training$1000 travel stipend
