Literature Awards: Student Research The ASHP Foundation Literature Awards Program: Student Research Award is awarded to a pharmacy student for a published paper that describes a completed research project related to medication use completed during the student’s first through fourth professional years in a college/school of pharmacy. The recipient of this award receives: $2,500 honorarium.Public announcement via press release and other Foundation communication channels.Public recognition at the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting.A plaque commemorating their work. AuthorThe author shall have been a full-time student enrolled in a Doctor of Pharmacy program at an ACPE-accredited school/college of pharmacy at the time of preparation of the paper.The applicant must be either the first or second author listed on the submitted article.The applicant must have participated in each of the following:Substantial contributions to conception and design, or acquisition of data, or analysis and interpretation of data.Drafting the article or revising it critically for important intellectual content.Final approval of the version to be submitted.ArticlesThe article submitted for the Student Research Award must have been published between January 1, 2023, and May 31, 2024. Print or electronic articles that were published in 2023 are eligible for consideration. If an electronic article was submitted for a prior cycle, (e.g. 2023 program), the print version is not eligible for a future program cycle.Ineligibility
Past recipients of this award are not eligible.Selection panel members, ASHP staff members, ASHP Foundation staff members, members of the ASHP Foundation Board of Directors, and members of the ASHP Board of Directors are not eligible to apply for this award.Focus Areas & Funding Uses
