Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo Founded in 1966 with a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, the ACGK has continuously evolved with the changing needs of artists and arts organizations in our community. We offer a wide variety of programming and support to the artistic community, including opportunities to perform, to partner, to collaborate, to receive funding, and to grow in our creative expression. The Arts Council of Greater Kalamazoo exists to infuse arts and culture into the commercial, educational, and creative economies of our region. The Arts Fund of Kalamazoo County The Arts Fund of Kalamazoo County, was established in 1986 through a Kalamazoo Community Foundation Initiative Grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. This grant is intended to support artists and artistic projects that remove barriers, provide access, and engage culturally diverse and historically excluded communities. Project Support Grant To provide project support to organizations. The project must engage culturally diverse and historically excluded communities. Requests for operational support will not be considered. Fiscal Sponsorship applications are okay. Maximum grant request is $5,500. The request must be 50% or less of the total budget.Eligibility

Applicants with unmet obligations on prior grants, i.e., late/incomplete reports, are disqualified. Applicants who have received funding from an Arts Council grant program in the prior 12 months are also disqualified from applying.The Arts Fund of Kalamazoo County grant program does not fund the following:Activities that are required for academic credit toward a degree. Consultant fees Existing Debt, including retroactive/reimbursement funding Operational expenses that do not directly impact a project Creation of an Endowment Fundraisers Capital Expenses Exceeding $500.00*Focus Areas & Funding Uses
