Artists Respond Grant (CT) The Artists Respond grant program awards funds to Connecticut artists for community-based projects that range from large audience events to small group activities. Artist-led projects use the arts to inspire, empower, educate, and transform Connecticut communities. The projects must occur in Connecticut and be led by the artist/applicant. Artists may partner with nonprofits and business entities, but the project must be the work of the artists, not the nonprofit or business. Projects should thoughtfully engage the community. Be sure to consider community needs, social issues and current events. Funding Connecticut artists may apply for a grant of $3,000 to support artist fees and project-related expenses.

Eligibility

Please apply for this grant if you are an artist who is:18 years of age or older at the time of the application deadline A full-time resident of Connecticut at the time of the application deadline and continue to be a full-time resident when the award is granted. Grantees must be able to complete a W9 and supply proof of CT residency.
