Please note that funds are usually given to people who have a body of recent work that can be presented professionally. We encourage you to apply for this grant if you are an artist working in any artistic discipline and the primary creator of original works of art who is:18 years old or older at the time of application. A full-time resident of Connecticut at the time of application and still a Connecticut resident when the award is granted. We verify residency when awarding grants. Able to complete a W9 as an individual with your Social Security Number.Artistic Excellence recipients ($5,000 awardees) must wait seven (7) years. For FY25 applicants, you can apply if you received your award in fiscal year 2017 or earlier.Ineligibility
Incomplete submissions or submissions received after the deadline. Artists who have overdue final reports from any COA grant program. High school students and college/university students enrolled full-time at a degree-granting institution. Connecticut Office of the Arts staff members and people in their immediate family.
