Annual Fund Applied Learning Grant

Overview: This grant supports initiatives that align with the College's strategic plan, mission, and vision, and benefit the campus community. The funding supports projects, travel, or equipment that relate directly to applied learning experiences for students.

  • Creative ideas otherwise lacking funding sources
  • Award Amount: Typical awards are $500 – $2,000, but all requests are evaluated based on merit

    Geographic Scope: SUNY Cobleskill campus and students

    Eligibility Requirements:

  • All applications must have explicit support of a faculty member, club advisor, supervisor, or other professional staff member

  • Applicants must prepare a report on the use of funding

  • Travel must adhere to guidelines established by SUNY Cobleskill, NYS Office of the State Comptroller, SUNY, and NYS Office of General Services

  • Trips to Mississippi are not allowed (per Executive Order 156)

    Application Process

    Submission Deadline: Friday, August 25th (annual)

    Award Notification: Fall semester following submission

    Spending Timeline: All awards must be spent by June 30 following the award year, unless otherwise approved

    Reporting Requirement: A project report must be submitted to the reviewing committee within 30 days of completing the project or activity

    2. Receive award notification during Fall semester
    3. Spend awarded funds by June 30
    4. Submit project report within 30 days of completion
