Funder: The National Society of Colonial Dames in the State of New York (NSCDNY)

Overview: For 57 years, NSCDNY has partnered with CUNY graduate programs to provide scholarships to graduate students and PhD candidates studying American history.

Geographic Scope: CUNY Graduate Center (New York)

Eligible Fields:

  • Preference: Early American history and colonial American history (when possible)
  • Eligible Applicants:

  • Graduate students (Master's level)

  • PhD candidates

  • Research historians
  • Award Amount: Up to $10,000 per scholarship

    Award Purpose: Funding supports research activities, including archival work and research travel throughout New York State
