Overview
America Walks' Community Change Grants are an annual (since 2015) national micro-grant program supporting grassroots advocates, community organizers, nonprofit organizations, and agencies running innovative, inclusive projects that create safe, accessible, walkable communities and increase physical activity/active transportation. Funded projects emphasize antiracism, inclusive health and design, and authentic community engagement. Historically funded via partners such as the CDC's Active People, Healthy Nation initiative; one recent cycle included ten additional $1,500 grants funded by General Motors in towns/cities with GM facilities. Program is competitive (a recent cycle drew nearly 600 applications).

How to Apply
Applications open annually (historically in early autumn) via the America Walks website. (FIA: Assumption — the scraped announcements are from 2020-2022 cycles; award size is modest [~$1,500 in the GM-funded tranche] and the current cycle's dates/amount were not on the scraped pages — confirm on the Community Change Grants page.)
