Amelia Peabody Charitable Fund Capital Grants

The Amelia Peabody Charitable Fund is a private foundation making grants exclusively to qualified nonprofit organizations existing and operating in Massachusetts, in the areas of medicine (human and animal), social welfare, visual arts, historic preservation, and land conservation. Grants are made exclusively for capital projects and capital purchases. The Fund explicitly does NOT accept proposals from individuals, private foundations, organizations outside Massachusetts, publicly funded organizations, start-ups, religious organizations (for religious purposes), educational institutions, or fiscal agents; and does not fund operating budgets, programs, overhead, events, scholarships/fellowships, or multi-year requests.

Applicants should read the Mission Statement and Guidelines, then submit a proposal for a capital project. The Fund favors well-leveraged projects (at least 50% of the project budget committed from other sources before applying). If not funded, applicants may re-apply in the second calendar year following a denial; if funded, no subsequent request is considered for at least three years.
