Altman Foundation Grants - Services to Not-for-Profits

The Altman Foundation's Services to Not-for-Profits program strengthens the nonprofit sector in the Foundation's areas of interest: enhancing the ability of key umbrella organizations to help their member/constituent agencies address critical community issues, and measurably improving the organizational effectiveness or program quality of community-based and other organizations working in the Foundation's areas of interest. Eligibility: U.S. 501(c)(3) organizations (not private foundations) operating within New York State, focused almost without exception on the five boroughs of New York City; no grants to individuals, and no funding for bricks-and-mortar/capital, galas/fundraising events, budget deficits, or public universities.
