Alliant Educational Foundation General Scholarships

Geographic Scope: California and Arizona campuses of Alliant University

Award Amount: Individual awards range from $500 to $5,000, with some exceptions

Total Annual Funding: Over $800,000 approved annually for 2021-2022 academic year, including over $350,000 supporting 75 underserved students from diverse backgrounds

• Support for students of color

Eligibility:

• Alliant University students across all six California campuses
• Graduate students pursuing advanced professional practice degrees in education, psychology, law, business and other fields
• First-generation college students
• Underserved and disadvantaged students
• Students with demonstrated financial need

Selection Criteria: Merit, financial need, area of study, essays, and faculty/staff review committees

About the Foundation: Alliant Educational Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit established in 2015 dedicated to supporting post-secondary students from diverse backgrounds as they prepare for careers of service and leadership that improve lives in underserved communities.

Application Process

• Students review and apply directly for multiple donor-restricted funds
• Application period typically runs March-April (example: March 16 - April 30, 2018)
• Online application portal available
• Applications reviewed in May with awards announced in June for upcoming fall and spring semesters
• Various scholarship funds available depending on donor wishes and specific campus/school eligibility
