Albert M. Greenfield Foundation Grant

The Albert M. Greenfield Foundation Grant supports Philadelphia-area organizations working on innovative projects in arts, culture, education, and human services. The Foundation emphasizes collaboration with grantees to achieve measurable results and prefers funding discrete programs that address significant community challenges. Organizations eligible for funding must demonstrate strong leadership and a strategic plan, while the Foundation does not provide operating support or consider applications outside the Philadelphia region.

NOTE: The Foundation does not have an application form. Instead, Philadelphia-area organizations should write a letter describing the program or programs for which funding is being sought.

Grants
The Foundation works to perpetuate Mr. Greenfield’s work and creative energy by helping to improve and enhance the lives of individuals, especially youth and those with special needs.
The Greenfield Foundation gives priority consideration to organizations that identify innovative approaches to entrenched problems. Rather than play a passive grant-making role, the Foundation prefers to serve as a partner with grantees, collaborating with them and monitoring their progress.
Although he was an idealist and visionary, Mr. Greenfield was also a hardheaded pragmatist. In that spirit, the Foundation will fund only discrete programs with clear objectives that achieve measurable results.
Organizations receiving funding typically have strong track records, a Board-approved strategic plan, and exceptional volunteer and staff leadership.

Eligibility

The Albert M. Greenfield Foundation supports organizations located in and serving the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania metropolitan area.

Ineligibility

The Foundation generally does not provide operating support, preferring instead to support special projects and innovative programs that can make a significant difference in the organization’s future and that of its constituents.As a general rule, the Foundation does not consider applications outside the Philadelphia region.
