AHCF Research Grants (Inquire / Inspire / Initiate / Innovate Awards)

The Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood Foundation (AHCF) has an open call for research funding across four award categories: Inquire (advance translational/clinical research on AHC triggers and reducing episodes), Inspire (support clinicians/researchers to expand AHC awareness and research), Initiate (develop research tools, techniques, model systems and data platforms), and Innovate (optimize advances that could transform lives, with prevention and disease modification as goals). Eligible applicants are academic and independent researchers, scientists and clinicians.

Rolling: submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) to the Board at any time describing the project and its relevance to the AHC community; if invited, submit a full proposal (reviewed by the Medical Advisory Board, Research Committee, Finance Committee, then the Board). The Foundation prefers to review requests at the start of its fiscal year (July 1) but accepts requests year-round subject to budget. Contact: VP of Research (vicky@ahckids.org).
